#West End Map

In collaboration with Mia @openhousewestend & Em @etypeemos, we created a cute little map to fulfill all your local Christmas shopping needs! 🌲💜🌲 I basically just drew over each business’ existing logo (so all credit to the OG designers, really) and Em gave them colour and life!

I’ve worked for my fair share of small businesses and now that I have one, I understand even more how heartwarming it is to get support, encouragement, and love. It’s hard work, can make you feel really vulnerable, and more often than not your room is completely taken over by tea towels.

Make sure you shop local, with quality in mind, and with intention this Christmas (and always).

In 2020, COVID times, I did a review of this project and created a whole heap more illustrations. See most of them below. Some of these businesses are no longer operational. It’s so wild how quickly the landscape of a suburb can change.
