#48 Marijke’s House

This was such a fun one to draw! I normally shy away from two point perspective, so drawing a house from a corner rather than front on is not ideal. But this house was a nice mix of simple and interesting. It’s a simple cottage with interesting features like an enclosed verandah with shutters that you can see are open in the drawing.

The timber fence compliments the timber in the backyard. And the big frangipani tree is a key feature.

Marijke commissioned this drawing to hang in their home. She knew exactly what she wanted colour-wise and I love the decisiveness of sticking to a solid red roof.
