#27 Julie’s House

Julie is a longtime friend of my mum’s. This was such a fun drawing to do. Houses are lovely in their own right, but they’re so much better to draw when there are interesting little bits and bobs that reflect the personalities or interests of their inhabitants.

I love the magpie surveying the front yard, huge cactus by the front door, and coloured bottles hanging from the frangipani tree. If you zoom in you might also spot a darling doggie doing a toad on the road (back legs spread) at the front door. So much charm packed into one A3 drawing.
