#20 Brooks Bay House

This house is in Brooks Bay in the South of Tassie and is my friend Al’s family’s house. I stayed here with a group of friends in 2021 and it was the most lovely time. We watched a lot of Alone, shucked oysters, and my friend Clare was writing a cookbook at the time so she did a lot of recipe testing and we did a lot of eating. This trip kind of marked the end of a freelance/student life that I’d had for a long while before I was to start my first proper adult job as a teacher, which I was actually offered while over there. I hope we all go back again some day.

As you can see, it has the most gorgeous garden. Pictured in the drawing are some of their chickens and their dog, Winnie.
