#18 Jan’s House

Jan’s gorgeous Queenslander with lovely front deck and a well cared for garden, complete with a row of frangipanis and well-maintained hedges.

Jan commissioned this drawing after seeing my work in an exhibition that I was part of in Torbreck. Her daughter, Alice-Anne, was one of the organisers of the exhibition.

The Process

I feel like this whole drawing leans slightly to the left, which I’m not sure I managed to fix in the final. As you can see in the sketch, the hedges were destined to go on a wild perspective journey, but I think they turned out better in the final.
