Gemma commissioned me to draw her dad and his partner’s house. It’s a cute one and although I only went inside a few times during high school, I loved the retro feel of the inside. Gemma and I went to high school together.

There are lots of sweet details that Gemma wanted included, like the little gnome and mouse statue, the electric blue curtains, and the sign above the garage that says ‘Scotty’s Mancave’. There are always going to be aspects of someone’s house that are especially significant to them and I feel very lucky to be asked to capture them.
