#1 Christine's House

Christine’s house was the first I drew outside of West End. A gorgeous Queenslander with expansive front porch.

The key features are: stained glass front door, hydrangeas that frame the front stairs, and little hints of lime green on the front fence.

In 2019 I had a stall at the Southside Art Market in Morningside. Christine expressed interest in having a house portrait done of her home in Cannon Hill. Her house was to be 100 years old the following year.

Christine was a dream to work with and was very forgiving when I came to drop off the house portrait only to realise that I’d left it at home. I got it to her.

#The Process

This was one of those drawings where I had to peel back some layers of greenery to see the house itself in more detail.
